Jasmine Bañuelos is a Lead Reentry Coach. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Family and Consumer Science (FACS). As a FACS major, she studied everything about humans and families. At CORE, she utilizes what she learned in college to support individuals seeking resources, guidance, and hope. Jasmine learned from her leaders how she wanted to coach her members. As a coach, she excels in communicating effectively, remaining compassionate yet firm, and seeking resources for her members. Jasmine encourages her peers to observe and adopt what they find effective from her methods. She has always held roles that advocate for others and encourage positive change, which she admits can be challenging at times. Being part of CORE makes overcoming such challenges more enjoyable. At CORE, she is able to demonstrate care through inclusivity, especially of gender identity and of race. She is also able to acknowledge the significant impact of mental health on one’s well-being.
